In December 2007, Lorraine B. Polin successfully argued for dismissal of the defendant hospital after 18 days of testimony in a medical malpractice trial before Justice Arthur Pitts in Supreme Court, Suffolk County. The plaintiff’s case alleged negligence by the nurses in the post-operative care after ORIF hip surgery performed by the co-defendant orthopedic surgeon. The physician’s case went to the jury and resulted in a defense verdict.
